ABOUT ME

I completed my B.A. (English) and M.A. (Linguistics) at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St.John's, Newfoundland, where I fell in love with the ocean. My M.A. thesis focused on segmental developmental in simple and complex onsets of two English-speaking children across the babbling period and early word development.

I'm now completing my Ph.D. (Linguistics) at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, where I've learned that mountains are pretty wonderful, as is a city full of jack rabbits. This research will focus on production of consonant clusters by second language learners of various ages and backgrounds and compare their productions with foreign accent and intelligibility ratings.
